A listing of squares is also given below the map.
For each 10Km square a selection of extracts from early maps is given followed by a listing of large scale Ordnance Survey maps and plans using the national grid and published between about 1950 and 2000. Early maps include Saxton (1575), Donn (1765) and Greenwood (1827).
The map used as a key is from Pigot and Co's pocket atlas of 1835, item 114 in Batten and Bennett's cartobibliography The printed maps of Devon: county maps 1575-1837.
This is a site under construction and not all sections are yet available. The original was lost in transfer from Devon County Council to the South West Heritage Trust in 2016 and has only partly been retrieved from web archives. Many of the links are not yet fully enabled.
